Read Revelation 11: 13- 14- I mentioned the power of God in the previous post, and one would think seeing the two witnesses ascend into heaven would have been all that was needed but God knows the people of the world.  He knows people must be convinced of who He is.  There was more.   In verses 13 and 14 we read this, “At that very hour there was a se vere earthquake and a tenth of the city collapsed.  Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.  The second woe has passed; the third woe is coming soon.” In a flash, much of a city totally collapses in an earthquake and thousands die.  How much does it take to get someone’s attention?  T hen we read God’s move was impactful and the people began to acknowledge the God of heaven and earth.  I don’t want to be one of those people that has to be slapped on the side of head w ith a great wonder or tragedy in order to see G...

Read Revelation 11: 7-   12- People will be skeptical of the two witnesses.  Even with the miraculous things that happen, people will be skeptical because of the constant lies of S atan.  People will believe the witnesses have been killed and the world is finally rid of them and the influence of God.  That is where the power and will of God will again dominate the world, “But after the three and a half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them.  Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, ‘Come up here.’ And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on.” Verses 11 and 12 show yet again the unimaginable power of God.  We need to be prepared to speak to this situation as the type of power God possesses and we can rest in His protection and calm knowing He has our best interest at heart, even in the face of unbelievable defiance from Satan.

Revelation 11: 1- 6- Extraordinary things will happen as Satan works to take over the world as we know it.  One of the very extraordinary things is written about in the first part of chap ter 11. In verses 3 through 5 John writes, “And I will appoint my two witnesses , and they will prophesy for 1260 days, clothed in sackcloth. They a r e two olive trees and the two lampstands, and they stand before the Lord of the earth.  If anyone tries to harm the m , fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. ” During this time, Satan will be working to put a stranglehold on the world.  Even in the face of a world where Satan is pre eminent, God shows He is still greater. He sends two extraordinary individuals who will continue proclaim the goodness and power of God for the world to see.  We can take that same lesson for our own as we work through situations in our lives, God will provide the exact type of help ...
