Mark 8: 22-26- A Complete View

Read Mark 8: 22- 26- I looked at completeness previously and how Jesus met the complete needs of people. Jesus took the blind man in this passage of scripture a nd  gradually restored his sight. Verse 25 says this,  ‘Then Jesus laid His hands on his eyes again; and he opened his eyes, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.’   When the man first opened his eyes, his focus was not  good,  but when he stayed with Jesus, Jesus brought back the man’s sight. My lesson from this short passage is that I need to stay close to Jesus  in order for  my spiritual eyes to be clear.  We see  so many people in society jump to conclusions and make assumptions about  situations,  but they do not stay close to the subject and learn the truth of the who l e subject.  If I am going to work on having a Biblical worldview, one that focuses on Jesus and His principles, I  have to  stay close to Him so my view of life will be ...

Matthew 24: 3-14- Word of Warning

Read Matthew 24: 3-14-   There are several important things in this passage of scripture. One of the very first things Jesus tells me is  actually a  word of warning. In verses 4 and 5  we read this,  ‘And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray.”’   If I am going to practice using my Biblical worldview, I need to be aware of what is happening in the world and how it fits into what Jesus is teaching. I cannot bury my hea d in the sand and not acknowledge what is happening in the world. I need to be prepared to point  these things  out to others who may see the next shiny new thing and think that is the way to go.  Jesu s cautioned us to beware of those who want you to follow them rather than following Him.  It is  very important  we follow Jesus and the scriptures and not be caught up in any one person  and their teachin...

Matthew 22: 22-33- Spiritual Vision

Read Matthew 22: 22- 33-   Even though the  Sadducees  were working to trap Jesus, Jesus used the situation  as a teaching moment. When they asked the theoretical question about marriage in heaven, Jesus answered them in verses 30 through 32,  ‘F or in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in  marriage but  are like angels in heaven. And as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was said to you by God: “I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob”?  He is not God of the dead, but of the living.”’   Jesus is  wanting people to look at their spiritual lives, not the religious rules that were in place. He was working to make people spiritually alive and to see their lives through a spiritual lens. I need to do  that  too .  There is much talk about a Biblical worldview. This is simply applying God’s spiritual principle s to every aspect of our lives and how our lives ...
