Luke 9: 23- Work & Sacrifice
Luke 9: 23- ‘Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”’ This is the first verse of four verses that are tied together. Each verse seems to have a different lesson for me and one I need to reintegrate into my life. Jesus is telling us we need to listen to what He may have for us to do and go His direction rather than a direction we may think we want to do. In the long run , I know the satisfaction of doing this will be great. Jesus did not hide the fact that His direction in our lives will not be work. It will. It may cause us to sacrifice things our selfish desires may want. Jesus knows us so much better than we know ourselves and he knows what situations we are created to do. Over time, we will see the wisdom Jesus has if we follow what He has for us. How do we know what to do? We pray, we work, and we follow the paths and tendencies we have and then pray some more and wai t for the ...
