Matthew 20: 1-16- Comparing Our Lives with Others
Read Matthew 20: 1- 16- One of the human traits too many of us have is that we compare ourselves to others. Along with comparing ourselves to others, we look at those situations and want to make sure we are trea ted equally as someone else. When it comes to many things in this life, we should be treated equally. Jesus wanted the people to know things are a little different when it comes to being accepted by Him in heaven. In the first verse, Jesus says this, “For the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.” Jesus went on to explain how the master in this story had the right to pay the workers what he would decide to pay. If I look at this situation, I think of people who are celebrated in heaven when they have a death-bed conversion and acce pt Jesus Christ. The celebration for me after being a Christian for sixty years would be the same. Is that fair?...
