Matthew 6: 25-34- Stresses and Anxieties
Read Matthew 6: 25- 34- I have noticed several stories in media this week where people, usually people under forty years of age, talking about their anxieties about living and about life in general. When I was under forty, there were people like that, but they all seemed to be able to cope with the anxieties and stresses of life better than what I am seeing now. One thing that is probably universal is that we all have stresses and anxiety about where we are in life and we all feel unsure of ourselves. Jesus obviously knew this. In verses 26 and 27 Jesus shared this, “Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which o f you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?” We need to realize there will be stresses in our lives and there will be times when we will not know exactly what we need to do.
