John 10: 17-21- Faith & Believing
Read John 10: 17-21-
People will talk. We see that today more than ever in history. Everyone has an opinion about most things also. It appears that may have also been the case when Jesus was talking to the people. Some believed. Remarkably, some did not believe even though they had the testimony of the man who was no longer blind. In those days, faith was a significant part of deciding to follow Jesus or not. Faith remains key in following Jesus today. Some people had the following perspective of Jesus in verse 21, “Others said, ‘This doesn’t sound like a man possessed by a demon! Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?’”
If we stop and take a minute to look around, we can see the hand of God. Not only in nature but in the progression of humanity over time. This stuff cannot happen randomly as some desperately want to believe. Everything works together so well. How can that be random? Also, if we look at our own lives, we can see the hand of God. Some have had horrible things happen in their lives, but they remain alive and productive due to the grace of God.
There is so much evidence of what Jesus did on earth that has been documented, our faith can show us directly to God. There is so much to learn and so much to accept.
