Matthew 10: 34-39- Commit to the Cause

Read Matthew 10: 34-39-

God created a world for us and a plan that allows man to have an independent voice and the ability to make their own decisions about life. That includes man being given the choice to accept God or not. Unfortunately, not everyone will choose God. This is where the conflict begins Jesus is referencing in this passage. In verses 39 and 39 Jesus says, “And whoever does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”

We need to realize there will be times when we will be at odds with people we hold dear because of our belief in God. Jesus is telling us to be prepared. He is also telling us how great the value of our belief in God actually is and it is the greatest of missions. I know this commitment is not always easy but the life it gives provides peace in the midst of the life.
