Matthew 18- 5-6- Responsibility of the Message
Matthew 18: 5-6- ‘” Whoever receives one such child in My name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.”’
We have a responsibility as Christians. Jesus shows us the magnitude of this responsibility in this passage. As Christians, we are to make sure we provide proper guidance to other people and not lead people to sin. With all that has happened in our society lately, we need to learn to deliver Christ’s message with a caring heart and with language that will not cause conflict.
The principles of God will cause many to be alarmed because His principles are opposite of how they want to live their lives. We are to move toward others with humility and without hostility but with understanding and knowing the principles of God. We need to continually study and review the principles of the Bible and grow to be comfortable in being able to discuss those principles without personally attacking others who need to see what God has for them.
There will be those who are committed to Satan who will battle against the presentation of God’s principles but we need to rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance and the right words to say in a given situation so we can not only show the principles of God but remain humble.
