Matthew 24: 1-2- Prophecy for Me

Matthew 24: 1-2- What kind of lesson can I take away from Jesus telling the disciples the temple in Jerusalem would be destroyed? Verses 1 and 2 says, ‘Jesus left the temple and was going away, when His disciples came to point out to Him the buildings of the temple. But He answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”’

The nation of Israel turned away from God and allowed many evil things creep into their country. This weakened them and allowed their enemies to take them and destroy the temple. I need to stay aware of the things that are happening in the world around me and protect my spiritual life from being compromised by erosion in culture. Whether it is being someone I am not or using language that aligns me more with those who do not recognize God, I need to be sensitive to how I live my life and know I have a responsibility to stay focused on God’s principles and work so others will see that also.
