Matthew 25: 14-30- Investing My Talents

Read Matthew 25: 14-30-

Jesus shared another parable in order to teach another lesson. The parable of the talents is many times used to show us we should be careful with what we do with what we are given. Another lesson I see has to do with our service to God. Am I a participant in my belief in Jesus Christ or am I simply an observer? In verse 29 Jesus said, “For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”

Am I practicing my faith every day? Am I practicing a Biblical worldview? Am I sharing what I have learned by following Jesus through the years? Am I working to support Christian ministries? Am I doing things that invest in activities focused on Jesu Christ? Am I doing that or am I sitting watching while others do the work? Am I ignoring needs I see happening close to me.

I would think Jesus wants us working to invest our resources and our energy in things that advance the cause of Jesus Christ. In that way I am building upon what was invested in me. My goal needs to hear what Jesus said in verse 23, “His Master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’”
