Mark 6: 45-52- Do Not Be Afraid

Read Mark 6: 45-52-

This is another well-known story of the Bible, where Jesus walks on the water to the boat where the disciples were. Jesus calmed the storm in the sea and went into the boat with the disciples. Verses 49 and 50 say, ‘but when they saw Him walking on the sea, they thought it was a ghost, and cried out, for they all saw Him and were terrified. But immediately He spoke to them and said, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”’

This is a short quote attributed to Jesus that I need to constantly take with me regardless of where I am or what I am doing. I need to never forget Jesus is always with me and I need not be afraid. Many things can happen in this life that are not pleasant or positive, but I need to remember God will be there. I need to have an hourly reminder pop up on my phone telling me “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”

Proverbs 6: 16-19- (16) There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to Him; (17) haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, (18) a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, (19) a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
