Mark 6: 7-13- Priorities
Read Mark 6: 7-13-
Jesus had been teaching the disciples, and the disciples had been watching how Jesus looked at the people and meeting needs for the people. It was time for them to no longer be observers but workers for His kingdom. When they obeyed, this happened, (12) ‘So they went out and proclaimed that people should repent. (13) And they cast out many demons and anointed with oil many who were sick and healed them.’
Notice the priority of their mission. The disciples first preached for people to repent of their sins and accept Jesus as their Lord. I have to ask myself, “Do I have my priorities straight?” Am I focused on other people accepting Jesus and recognizing their sins and changing their lives or am I focused on something else? I need to work to make sure my priorities for my belief on Jesus are focused on other’s spiritual life and helping to meeting their needs, not necessarily meeting the needs I think I have.
Proverbs 5:21- For a man’s ways are before the eyes of the Lord, and He ponders all his paths.
