Luke 3: 7-9- What Does My Fruit Look Like?
Read Luke 3: 7-9
John the Baptist had an approach that was different from the religious leaders of the day. First, he called them a brood of vipers. In verse nine, John the Baptist then said for those who did not produce good fruit of God, “And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore, every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”
As a Christian, I have to ask myself if I am working every day to produce fruit God would have me to produce. How well do I know God’s principles? Am I grafting those principles into my daily actions? I should ask myself those questions even though I have been a Christian for almost sixty years. This is an expectation regardless of how long we may have professed to be a Christian. I must also continue looking at my life and actions and work to eliminate hypocrisies I may still have in my life.
Proverbs 11:29- He who troubles his own house will inherit the wind. And the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.
