Luke 4: 1-2- God's Provision

Luke 4: 1-2-

This chapter gives us a description of Jesus in the wilderness and then being tempted by Satan. Verses 1 and 2 say, “Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, (2) being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days, He ate nothing and afterward, when they had ended, he was hungry.”

Jesus had been baptized and her the voice of God bless Him, and the Holy Spirit inhabit Him. What a spiritual high would that be? From a apex spiritual experience, we see Jesus led into the wilderness where, in a weakened state, He would be tempted. We need to understand there may be times when we are led by God into situations that may not be positive experiences. There will be struggles, temptations, and difficulties. God will also be there providing sustenance, guidance, love and strength. That is life in the real world.

Proverbs 12: 5-6- The thoughts of the righteous are right, but the counsels of the wicked are deceitful, (6) The words of eh wicked are, “lie in wait for blood,” but the mouth of the upright will deliver them.
