Luke 8: 11-15- Patience, Encouragement & Prayer
Luke 8: 11-15-
Jesus shares the parable of the seeds falling on different types of ground with the people. Verse 15 says, “But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.”
Patience is a key word in this verse because it does show the reality of how it is to work with people who do not believe it. It sometimes takes time. So, what do we do while being patience? We work on the ground. If the ground is hard, we need to work to soften the ground by living our faith consistently before them. We need to be showing non-believers with our lives how faith in Christ is the only way to live our lives.
For those people who quickly accept Christ but also quickly start losing interest, we need to see the need for them to be frequently encouraged and discipled. They will require our time. We need to understand we need to work the soil to make it all good, deep, soil in people’s hearts so they can see the beauty that is Jesus Christ how His principles bless our lives.
Proverbs 13:1- A wise son heeds his father’s instruction, but a scoffer does not listen to rebuke.
