Luke 9: 18-22- Lifelong Mission

Read Luke 9: 18-22-

Verses 18 and 19 say this, ‘(18) And it happened, as He was alone praying, that His disciples joined Him, and He asked them, saying, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” (19) So, they answered and said, “John the Baptist, but some say Elijah; and others say that one of the old prophets has risen again.”’

Is it interesting to hear the people call Jesus only those names they knew and saw and not call Him Messiah? A people that prayed for hundreds of years for the coming of the Messiah and now to have Him in their midst, they would not recognize Him as the Messiah. Unfortunately, people are still recognizing Jesus as a teacher but not the Messiah. With history still continuing to prove who Jesus was, people do not want to acknowledge who Jesus is. That is why we continue to do what we do. We live for Christ and continue to tell people about Him and all that surrounds Him. It is a lifelong mission.

Proverbs 13: 11- Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, but he who gathers by labor will increase.
