Luke 12: 35-40- Jesus’ Return

Luke 12: 35-40-

Jesus is teaching us to always be ready for Him. Verse 36 says, "And you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks, they may open to him immediately." Then Jesus gives us some insight into His own personal return to earth. In verse 40 Jesus tells us, "Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."

Jesus wants us to be paying attention. He wants us to pay attention to Him working in and around our lives and for us to be prepared to respond. He also wants us to constantly have our hearts prepared for His Second Coming.  This is a consistent theme for us to take to heart. We need to constantly stay spiritually ready for what is happening around us and we need to never forget Jesus will return again.

Proverbs 14:32- The wicked is banished in his wickedness, but the righteous has a refuge in his death.
