Luke 13: 22-30- Who Will Enter God's Presence?
Read Luke 13: 22-30-
"(24) Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able."
This passage of Jesus' teaching has a couple of different lessons for me this morning. This one verse tells me that all who have been born and heard the message of Christ, will not find their way into heaven. They will be making a choice to deny or not accept that Jesus is the Son of God. These people may be very antagonistic about the whole idea of who Jesus Christ is or they may simply choose to not believe a person could feasibly be God. They may also not believe a God exists. These individuals may be living what many would consider a good life, but they will not allow Jesus Christ a place in their lives. According to this passage, they will not find eternity in the presence of God.
Who can enter? Not everyone will want to follow Christ's teachings. They will not see the presence of God. Not everyone will believe. They will not enter into eternity in God's presence. We need to understand this as we live our lives to be a testimony of the saving grace and love of God.
Proverbs 15:6- In the house of the righteous there is much treasure, but trouble befalls the income of the wicked.
