Luke 22: 1-6- Pray for Our Weaknesses

Read Luke 22: 1-6-

In verses 3 and 4 we read, "(3) The Satan entered Judas, surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve. (4) So, he went his way and conferred with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray Him to them."

If Judas was traveling with Jesus every day and he was a witness to the events surrounding Jesus and what He had to say, how did he allow Satan a doorway into his soul? From what we know about Judas, it could have quite possibly been greed that took first place in Judas, even if it was for a short time.

Satan does know our weaknesses, and He will look to attack our weaknesses. We should pray for ourselves about our weaknesses. We need to be astute enough about ourselves that we see our own vulnerabilities and pray for Jesus Christ to fortify us in those areas so we can live our best for Him and not be less than we should be. We need to take time to look at ourselves as objectively as possible and pray for Jesus to strengthen our own weaknesses. This is not a selfish prayer but an honest prayer.

Proverbs 16:32- He who is slow to anger is better than the might, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
